Pedestrians are alerted to hazards on the road by barrier tapes, also known as barrier tapes, which are strips of flexible ribbon that bear printed messages. To prevent people from entering dangerous areas, they can be stretched in front of hazards or along walkways. A brightly colored tape is highly visible against sidewalks, streets, or parking lots.
