When properly fitted, use for a variety of applications including dust, welding, metal pouring and certain finishing operations for concentrations up to 10x the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half face pieces or 50x PEL with full face pieces. Also offers nuisance level relief from organic vapors and acid gases that are below the PEL. Nuisance level refers to concentrations not exceeding OSHA PEL or other applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Full face pieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. Do not use in for respiratory protection against organic vapors or acid gases or environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). Not NIOSH certified for use against ozone.
