Supplied Air Hoods and Helmets

Supply-air respirator systems provide safe breathing air in non-IDLH (immediately dangerous to life or health) environments. Through an airline, a stationary air supply is connected to a hood or facepiece. Despite the fact that a SAR can restrict mobility, it provides breathing air for a longer period of time than a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) carrying an air cylinder.
